Support CGM funding in the Federal Budget

Wednesday, March 18, 2015 - 16:28

We understand that one of the key issues within the T1D community is subsidised access to CGM. We also realise that you have very real concerns if you or a loved one are hypo-unaware or experience severe hypo-glycaemic events.

For this reason, we’re supporting a submission to the federal government, to obtain subsidised CGM for the hypo-unaware. It’s our hope that this will be approved in the budget – announced Tuesday 12 May.

While our long-term goal is to increase access to technologies which assist in the management of diabetes, this would be a great first step for those who need it most.

We need your help. The current submission provides the clinical and economic rationale for funding CGM, but it doesn’t include the stories of people who use the technology – or would benefit from using it. The stories of people like you. You can share your story by emailing your MP and asking them to take action in subsidising CGM. Together, we can make a huge difference!
