You can use Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) functionality, together with your insulin pump when you are ready. If you are not using an insulin pump and would like to know what is happing with your glucose level between fingersticks, our CGM systems, such as the stand-alone MiniMed Guardian REAL-Time™ System and blinded CGM systems, help give you a clearer picture of how well you’re managing your diabetes. Our therapy management software, Medtronic CareLink® Personal, empowers you to significantly improve your insulin therapy.

Closing The Loop

At Medtronic, our ultimate goal is to create the world’s first closed-loop, artificial pancreas. We are already well on our way with the MiniMed Paradigm™ Veo™ System, the first insulin pump with an automatic shut-off mechanism for when your glucose falls below a pre-defined level.
