Medtronic CareLink Software

Reports

Medtronic CareLink® Personal software makes it easy to track your blood glucose and sensor glucose levels, and to compare any changes graphically, while tables provide the actual numeric values.

Together, these charts, graphs and tables help you and your healthcare provider uncover patterns and problems more easily than with meter software and logbooks alone. While only your healthcare provider can alter your insulin therapy, by becoming familiar with Medtronic CareLink® Personal reports, you, too, can take steps to better control your glucose levels.

The list of report types you can select varies depending on the device(s) you have uploaded, as shown below.

* NOTE: Although these reports will be available for the MiniMed Paradigm™ insulin pump (515/715, 522/722, 554/754, and later models) users, they will only display glucose sensor information if a transmitter and glucose sensor are used in conjunction with the insulin pump.

** Not available for the Medtronic Guardian™ REAL-Time Continuous Glucose Monitoring System.

The reports produced by Medtronic CareLink® Personal therapy management software are intended to be used together with the consultation of a healthcare provider familiar with the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes. Please review the report data with your healthcare provider; he or she is the only person who should adjust your therapy or recommend lifestyle changes.

The following are the most commonly used reports:

Reports Chart 2Quick View Summary shows how your insulin delivery, diet, and exercise patterns affect how well you are controlling your blood glucose and sensor glucose levels over a two-week period.
Reports Chart 3 Sensor Daily Overlay is based on continuous glucose monitoring for up to seven days. Choose the seven days of glucose sensor tracings you want to see, and this report layers them on top of each other for comparison.
Reports Chart 4Sensor Overlay by Meal is based on continuous glucose monitoring, and includes meal information recorded in the Medtronic CareLink® Personal Logbook and data from the Medtronic Bolus Wizard™ calculator.
Reports Chart 5Daily Summary centres on one day and provides three graphs, including meter and sensor glucose readings, insulin usage, the carbohydrates you have eaten, and your exercise routines.
Reports Chart 6 Data Table looks like a standard logbook, where you can see meter glucose readings, bolus insulin, total insulin, carbohydrate intake, exercise, and other events, information, and comments.
