Medtronic CareLink® Personal software is a secure, online therapy management system that helps you discover patterns and problems that meter software and logbooks may not uncover.
With Medtronic CareLink® Personal software, you can:
- Gain better understanding of the effects of insulin, carbohydrates and exercise on your glucose levels
- Identify glucose patterns and potential problems
- Work more productively with your healthcare provider by sharing reports and making therapy and lifestyle changes
- Get a better perspective of your diabetes management using continuous glucose monitoring data, which reveals more low or high glucose patterns than fingerstick tests.
Understanding the effects of insulin dosage, eating habits, exercise routine, and medication on glucose levels is the key to improving your diabetes control. Seeing this cause-and-effect relationship in charts, graphs, and tables allows you to identify patterns and problems that can help you and your healthcare professionals figure out the cause of your low and high blood glucose levels.

Share Data with Your Healthcare Providers
Medtronic CareLink® Personal software is a unique platform that allows you to download and view your data and reports at home, and at your diabetes clinic. The software also allows you to share data with your healthcare providers to help you in your therapy management decisions. You can email reports as a PDF file, or, if your clinic uses the Medtronic CareLink® Pro software, your healthcare providers can access your downloaded data virtually from their clinic, if you give them permission to do so.

Getting started
In order to use Medtronic CareLink® Personal software, you will need:
- Access to a personal computer running Windows® XP, Vista®, or Windows® 7 operating system, or Apple Macintosh® Mac OSX 10.5 or 10.6 operating system
- A reliable internet connection
- Microsoft Internet Explorer® version 5.5 (or higher) web browser
- Apple Safari® version 4 (or higher) web browser
- Adobe® Reader™ version 5.0 or higher
- Medtronic CareLink® USB¹
Getting started is simple – just follow these three steps:
- Register at http://carelink.medtronicdiabetes.com
- Upload your information
- Review the reports and share them with your healthcare provider
