How does Lenny know so much about diabetes? Because he has diabetes, too.

Lenny loves nothing better than talking about diabetes facts and figures.

Like, did you know that excessive thirst and lots of trips to the toilet are both symptoms of diabetes?

Or that diabetes mellitus was first described in Greece in 1500 BC, and literally means ‘honey-sweet flow’? Amazing, isn’t it?

Or, how about the fact that a glass of apple juice is one of the best things to help you feel better if your blood glucose is low? (And it tastes great, too!)

Living with Diabetes

Live life to the full, just like Lenny!

It takes a bit of time to get used to living with diabetes, but once you do, you’ll discover you can live life to the full.

With his insulin pump by his side, Lenny can do everything the other kids (and lions!) can do.

He can go swimming…

…and play sports…

…and hang out with his friends.

Lenny can do all this fun stuff because he follows all the instructions about using his pump, eats a healthy diet, and keeps his blood glucose in check.
